Getting involved is a great way to make a difference, share your views and help shape the services you receive.
Whether it’s giving feedback, joining a resident group or taking part in consultations, there are lots of ways to have your say. Your insight helps us improve what we do, make better decisions and ensure our services reflect what matters most to you and your community.

Build new skills
You can gain new skills, confidence and experience through training and engagement activities.
You will be offered a one-to-one review twice a year with a member of the Engagement Team to discuss what is working well, any concerns, and any training or support you may need.
Many of our engaged residents started by getting involved locally on their estate. They have gone on to develop skills that have helped them join our panels and become meeting chairs.
Engaged residents can access in-person and online training funded by Hexagon. The types of training our engaged residents have taken part in include:
- Resident scrutiny
- Customer insight
- Digital engagement
- Chairing meetings
- Attending national housing conferences
Recognition and rewards
We recognise the time and commitment residents give to resident engagement activities through the arrangements set out in our Engaged Resident Expenses and Recognition Policy.
These include:
- Annual recognition events and outings
- Twice-yearly reviews and skills development
- Newsletters and reports highlighting resident achievements and impact
- Reimbursement of travel and childcare costs
- Food and refreshments at in-person meetings
- Recognition vouchers
