  • Hexagon relaunches Estate Champion programme to strengthen neighbourhood pride and resident voice

We are pleased to relaunch our Estate Champion programme, giving residents a new opportunity to play an active role in helping improve their estates and neighbourhoods.

Estate Champions are residents who volunteer to help keep an eye on their estate and report issues they notice in communal areas. This might include concerns such as cleaning standards, grounds maintenance issues, untidy noticeboards, bulky waste, or other environmental concerns affecting the appearance and upkeep of their neighbourhood.

We are looking for residents who are interested in becoming an Estate Champion – see below for information on how to get in touch if this sound like something you’d be interested in.

The refreshed Estate Champions programme has been redesigned using feedback from residents, to provide stronger support for resident volunteers, clearer reporting processes, improved communication with Hexagon staff, and more opportunities for residents to work directly with their Neighbourhood teams.

As part of the relaunched programme, Estate Champions will have regular contact with their Neighbourhood Officer and take part in joint estate inspections. Hexagon has also introduced dedicated guidance and training for Champions, helping ensure volunteers feel supported and informed throughout their involvement.

Volunteering as an Estate Champion can be a rewarding opportunity where you get to meet other residents and staff, develop confidence and new skills, contribute positively to your community and see the direct impact being an Estate Champion has.

Interested in becoming an Estate Champion?

We are currently looking for residents from across our communities who are interested in becoming Estate Champions. If you care about your neighbourhood and would like to help make a positive difference on your estate, we would love to hear from you.
