Following a rigorous procurement process, in which Hexagon was supported by a specialist procurement consultancy firm, members of Hexagon’s Residents’ Repairs Group and some of Hexagon’s Board members, Hexagon can confirm that it has appointed Gilmartins as its new responsive and void repairs contractor with effect from 1 July 2022.
Gilmartins, founded in 1996, has been working in the social housing sector delivering responsive repairs, void refurbishments, planned maintenance and cyclical redecorations throughout the London and South East regions.
The new repairs service will offer residents greater flexibility and convenience in booking appointments for repairs, including on Saturdays. Residents will also have the chance to install an app which will enable them to track an operative’s journey to their home.
Hexagon looks forward to establishing a successful, long-term partnership with Gilmartins that will ensure residents’ homes are always well maintained and repairs are carried out on time and to the residents’ satisfaction.
