Energy prices are rising again and the government’s decision to cut winter fuel allowance payments for some people, could make it a very challenging time for some of our residents to stay warm this winter.
See below what Hexagon is doing to help residents stay warm this winter.
HACT energy fund – Energy Vouchers
We are pleased to confirm that Hexagon’s access to this fund has been extended until the end of December. This means that Hexagon can issue up to 6 energy vouchers (£49 per voucher) to a household if they meet the following criteria:
- On a prepayment (key/card) meter
- On benefits (can be working)
- In rent arrears or can demonstrate financial hardship (a budget would need to be completed with the money support team if there are no rent arrears to prove financial hardship)
Please note:
- You cannot have more vouchers if you have already been issued 6 vouchers this year.
- We will only issue 2 vouchers at any one time, so you can apply up to 3 times.
- Vouchers must be activated within 30 days of issue, failure to do so will mean you cannot apply for anymore vouchers in the future.
Please contact money support to find out how to apply.
Keep Me Cosy
A new initiative organised by a small group of volunteers supporting pensioners who will no longer get a winter fuel allowance payment by providing cosy packs of donated blankets, pyjamas, hot water bottles and other items to help beat the cold this winter.
Please call 020 8778 6699 or email money support to find out how you can get a cosy pack.
