Charlie had been a carer for his dad for over 3 years and although he’d done some voluntary work, he had not had any paid work since he left school.

He’d completed a Certificate for Level 2 Site Carpentry and was keen to kickstart a career within the construction industry but was not having much luck when applying for roles or apprenticeships.

He engaged with Hexagon’s employment support service to help him find work, accessing support with his CV, a cover letter and interview preparation.

His advisor forwarded his CV to Mulalley, contracted to build new homes for Hexagon and very proactive in offering our residents training and advertising their vacancies. We asked them to bear Charlie in mind if they had any vacancies in the future. They responded a few weeks later inviting Charlie to interview, he was successful and started work with them as a Labourer.

Charlie said,  “Thank you for connecting me to this company, they are all very nice people.”
