Bexley Business & Employment Support provides access to a wide range of employment support programmes in the borough including Bexley Works.

Our Bexley Works programme supports people who are economically inactive and who need support to help move them into sustained employment or to become economically active.

People can access support to:

  • receive employment advice from an adult career’s advisor
  • take part in work clubs and employability workshops
  • find the right vacancies locally and outside of Bexley
  • assess training needs and get help to access courses

Connect to Work is a voluntary Supported Employment programme funded by the UK Government to support people with disability or health conditions, and people with more complex barriers to find a suitable job and progress into work. It will also help those in work but at risk of losing their job, to retain their employment.

Aim4Work Employment Programme

The Shaw Trust offers this FREE employment programme for Bromley residents living with common mental health conditions such as stress, anxiety, depression and other conditions, including social anxiety disorder. They are an IPS programme and focused on person-to-person support with active job searching activity.

 

If you are not working but want to be working and are over 25 years old, they can provide practical support to help you find employment including help with CV, job applications, confidence and interview skills. The programme is offered for up to nine months with a further six months of in-work support. Contact them to find out if you are eligible for the service and to get started.
