Hexagon has been named as a finalist for the London Learning Consortium’s (LLC) annual award ceremony, in the Employer of the Year category.
As a training provider, LLC have an annual ceremony to celebrate learners, employers and associated organisations that have achieved their goals or have made outstanding contributions. It is a great event, which showcases the positivity of the hard work people do and give to others as a community and educational support.
Hexagon has been running a Level 2 Housing Management course through the LLC for the past five months for residents, staff and people that live in the local community. The participants are now three quarters of the way into the course. All those who make it successfully through the rigorous assessment process will get:
- an internationally recognised and accredited housing qualification
- knowledge about the sector that provides their homes and housing services
- knowledge about the challenges housing organisations like Hexagon face daily in trying to provide the services tenants and residents need the most, while keeping to relevant laws and regulations
- the ability to competitively apply and stand a good chance of successfully obtaining a suitable role within the housing sector
Claire Reed, Operations Manager at LLC, said;
“Hexagon has been short listed for Employer of the Year, due to the support and encouragement you have given the learners in gaining work experience and a high number of learners gaining paid work from you. Hexagon were clearly putting on the class to give people the opportunity to “get their foot in the door” and gain employment, not just provide some learning. Hexagon stood out from the fantastic employers we work with making sure the learners on this course were truly looking for work opportunities and just needed new skills to help them progress. Hexagon’s commitment to not just delivering the qualification, but making sure this is of value to the learner for their future has made Hexagon stand out from the crowd and nominated for employer of the year.”
The winners will be announced on Tuesday 18th June at Croydon Town Hall attended by the Croydon Mayor.
