  • One of Hexagon’s core values is ‘Appreciating difference’

The tragic incident that took place in Southport last week, shocked us all and we, at Hexagon, know that many of our residents will be deeply affected by it. Our thoughts are also with the victims and their families – we send our condolences to them.

One of Hexagon’s core values is around ‘appreciating difference’ and we believe there is no place for hate, racism, or Islamophobia in our society.

It is important to us that our residents feel safe in their homes and communities, and we are aware that the violent disorder, and acts of intimidation that has followed, will also be affecting them.

Anyone who is the victim of hate crime, is encouraged to report the incident to the Police by calling 101. In an emergency, always call 999.

Alternatively, victims can visit www.report-it.org.uk or www.stophateuk.org for other ways to report hate crime.

Hexagon has a Hate Crime and Harassment Policy and will take tenancy enforcement action against any residents who harass their neighbours on the basis of their race, religion, disability, sexual orientation or transgender identity. Residents can access the Harassment and Hate Crime Policy here.
